Joker's Wild
A luxury casino. A dead influencer. A house built to cheat.
Max Tempest was supposed to be taking a working vacation.
A high-end resort on Paradise Island wants Joker's Wild in its marina for a splashy poker weekend built around influencers, high rollers, and more money than conscience. The diesel is free, the rooms are paid for, and for once the job sounds simple: keep an eye on things, enjoy the ride, and try not to throw anyone off a building.
Then one of the headliners turns up dead.
The resort calls it a medical event. Max calls it what it is: a lie.
As the body count threatens to climb and the cameras keep missing the wrong corners, Max and Diane find themselves inside a machine designed to protect wealth, bury scandal, and make murder look like bad luck. The deeper Max digs, the clearer it gets—someone in the house is rigging more than the cards, and a dead man may have been carrying proof powerful enough to bring the whole glittering structure down.
Now Max has a shrinking window, a boat full of people he can’t afford to lose, and an enemy who knows exactly how to turn luxury into cover.
Because in a place where everyone is playing a role, the most dangerous thing at the table isn’t the hand you’re dealt.
It’s the Joker's Wild.
